The Valley, Anguilla –– The General Post Office (GPO) and the Department of Education (DOE) are thrilled to announce the winner of our National Letter-Writing Competition 2025! This year's competition, which encouraged students across Anguilla to explore the theme of “Imagine You Are The Ocean. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you.”, saw a total of 26 thoughtful and creative entries.
After careful deliberation, the judging panel has selected Miss Princess Cedeno-Fleming, a third form student of the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School, as the overall winner. She impressed the judges with her heartfelt expression and eloquent writing style.
The GPO and the DOE believe in the enduring power of letter writing to foster communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills among young people. This competition serves as a valuable platform to encourage these essential skills.
We are proud to announce that Miss Cedeno-Fleming’s winning entry now moves forward to the international round of competition, representing Anguilla in the 54th edition of the International Letter-Writing Competition for Young People organized annually by the Universal Postal Union in collaboration with the IMO and UNESCO.
The General Post Office and the Department of Education extend their sincere congratulations to Miss Princess Cedeno-Fleming and all the students who participated in this year's competition. Their dedication and creativity are truly commendable.
